Who operates Word Campfire

Learning progress and guest accounts
The app stores lesson progress, vocabulary and review history, XP, preview gold, settings, notification choices, and policy acceptance on your device. After policy acceptance it can create an anonymous Unity Gaming Services player account. Cloud saves associate learning progress and save revisions with that player ID. Authentication session tokens may be cached on the device to reconnect. Players do not need a Unity account.
Microphone and speaking exercises
Speaking exercises require microphone permission. Your short answer is checked on the device. The app does not upload your voice recordings to its cloud-save or advertising services and does not retain player audio clips. Audio samples and recognition reference models bundled with or downloaded by the app are learning materials, not recordings of you. You can skip speaking exercises or revoke microphone permission in device settings.
Account linking
Google, Google Play Games, Apple, and email account linking are being developed. Options are shown only when enabled in your build. If used, the identity provider processes sign-in information and the app associates a verified identity with learning progress. Never send support your password, sign-in code, or payment-card details.
Advertising
When advertising is enabled, the app asks for an age choice and checks advertising privacy consent before requesting ads. The current implementation keeps ads off for users under 18 or users who have not completed that check. Unity LevelPlay mediates ironSource, Unity Ads, and Google advertising. These providers may process advertising identifiers, IP address and approximate location, device and network information, ad interactions, diagnostics, purchase-related events where available, fraud signals, and consent choices. They use this data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and apply applicable consent choices. Review advertising privacy choices in app Settings when available, or reset advertising identifiers in device settings.
Gold and reward verification
Cloud progress and the server wallet are available. In builds with rewarded gold enabled, an optional completed ad can grant a lesson bonus only after server verification. The app does not grant currency from an unverified client ad callback. When enabled, the backend records player ID, lesson and exercise answers, completion timing, wallet transactions, reward offers, and advertising event identifiers to verify rewards and prevent duplicate grants. Advertising reward callbacks contain the player ID and a short-lived reward ticket. A phone ad callback alone does not grant server gold. These features do not send microphone audio to the server.
Notifications, purchases, and diagnostics
Daily learning reminders are optional and scheduled locally at your selected time. You can disable them in Settings or device settings. Remote event/update pushes and in-app purchases are not enabled in this build. Optional game analytics collection is not started by the app. Service providers may still process connection, SDK, error, and security logs needed to run their services. The website hosting provider processes ordinary web request information to deliver this site and the reward callback.
Sharing and providers
Data is processed by Unity Gaming Services for authentication, cloud saves and server functions; by the advertising providers described above when ads are requested; by the website hosting provider; and by support when you email us. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect users and prevent fraud. We do not sell your voice recordings or upload them for advertising. Provider privacy policies describe their own processing.
Retention and deletion
Device data remains until you clear the app data or uninstall, subject to device backup behavior. Cloud progress and the wallet remain associated with your account until deleted. Reward verification records are pruned during wallet activity after their verification windows; account deletion removes that account’s wallet data. Request deletion inside the app from Settings, or use the account-deletion page or email augmentalvision@gmail.com without reinstalling the app. Support verifies ownership before handling an emailed request. We will explain any records that must be retained for fraud prevention, financial or legal obligations. Deleting Word Campfire does not delete your Google or Apple account, cancel store billing, or clear copies on other devices.
Your choices and children
Word Campfire is intended for ages 13 and up. The current ad implementation is limited to adults. Contact support if you believe an account contains information from a child under 13. You can decline notifications, skip microphone exercises, manage device permissions, review available advertising privacy options, request account deletion, and contact us about access or correction of your data. Privacy rights depend on your location. Providers may process data outside your country.
Changes
We update this policy when app behavior changes. Material app privacy changes may require reading and accepting an updated notice. Check the update date above.
